How We Did It:
The Nursing Home Quality Care Act

We needed an approach to funding nursing home care that would make it easier to improve care for seniors and people with disabilities, and improve working conditions for nursing home caregivers. The Nursing Home Quality Care Act (AB 1629) increased funding for quality nursing home care, without costing taxpayers more.
